Callum Lyman, Director and RICS Registered Valuer at Lyman Marshall Chartered Surveyors

Director · Surveyor & Registered Valuer

Callum Lyman

AssocRICSRICS Registered Valuer

With over a decade in the property sector, Callum co-founded Lyman Marshall in 2023 on a simple principle — quality over quantity — a mantra still embedded in the firm’s core values today.

Callum still carries out RICS Home Surveys and RICS Red Book Valuations, but really enjoys the work entailed under the Party Wall etc. Act and the challenges it brings. He has assumed a more specialist role within the company, focussing on Party Wall surveying, bespoke building surveys and single defect reports, and more complicated valuations — including for inheritance tax purposes and diminution in value.

He gained a BSc (Hons) at the University of Lincoln in 2015 and completed his Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Building Surveying in 2019. Callum has worked as an estate and lettings agent, a private housing technical officer for a local authority, and since as a surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer.

Away from the business, Callum enjoys time with his family — his wife Nicole, his children Emilia and Sonny, and his fluffy Labradoodle, Lilah. He’s a keen golfer and enjoys being out on the course (as much as Nicole will allow!).

Leo Marshall, Director and Chartered Surveyor MRICS at Lyman Marshall

Director · Chartered Surveyor · Registered Valuer

Leo Marshall

MRICSRICS Registered Valuer

Leo joined Callum in 2025 to form Lyman Marshall, helping expand and diversify the business and driving significant growth ever since.

Alongside running and developing the business, Leo carries out a varied workload — residential and commercial surveys, valuations for a range of purposes, and commercial landlord and tenant work — and regularly acts as an expert witness on residential survey and valuation matters. He’s always on hand to discuss complex matters, whether unusual building defects, challenging valuations or disputes.

Leo began his career in property in 2016 as an estate agent in Lincoln. After further study — a Postgraduate Diploma in Building Surveying from Northumbria University — he worked as a trainee surveyor before qualifying as AssocRICS in early 2020, then gaining experience as a residential surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer. In 2021 he joined a regional multidisciplinary firm, taking on a more diverse workload and honing the specialisms he still practises today. In 2022 he completed the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).

Outside of his day to day, Leo and his wife Jess have spent several years renovating their home — putting the advice he gives clients every day into practice. He also enjoys time with family and friends, and is no stranger to the golf course.

George Cassidy, Residential Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer at Lyman Marshall

Residential Surveyor · Registered Valuer

George Cassidy

AssocRICSRICS Registered ValuerDomestic Energy Assessor

George joined the team in 2025, having previously worked alongside Callum. His passion for property and quality-driven approach align closely with Lyman Marshall’s values.

George is a residential surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, with the bulk of his work made up of RICS Home Surveys and RICS Red Book Valuations. Whether a single defect or a range of snags, his keen eye for detail also sees him carrying out our Single Defect Reports and leading our New Build Snagging services.

He studied Real Estate at Sheffield Hallam University whilst working as an estate agent in Cleethorpes, obtaining his BSc (Hons) in 2021. George went on to work for a national surveying firm, gaining his AssocRICS qualification and RICS Registered Valuer status that same year, and in 2023 qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor.

Out of hours, George enjoys spending time with his partner Alice, family and friends, eating good food and enjoying sunny dog walks. His commitment to the Lyman Marshall ethos has taken him to the golf course, where he strives to lower his handicap — with plenty of improvement still to be made!

Nicole Lyman, Administration Specialist at Lyman Marshall Chartered Surveyors

Administration Specialist

Nicole Lyman

OperationsFirst point of contact

Nicole came onboard in May 2024 to look after day-to-day operations, freeing Callum to focus on what he does best while the business grows.

Nicole’s role is to look after all day-to-day operations and administrative tasks. Her responsibilities are varied — keeping everything running smoothly in the background whilst being the first point of contact for enquiries.

Having worked across property, private healthcare and higher education, Nicole brings a wealth of administrative experience. She completed a distance-learning degree alongside full-time work and, more recently, returned to university as a mature student — qualifying and briefly working as an NHS Midwife.

As Mum to two children, Emilia and Sonny, much of Nicole’s time outside work is spent enjoying quality family time. When she gets the chance, she enjoys crafts, running and the occasional nap!
